Man Jailed for Online Gambling Fraud

In a first prosecution of its kind, a man was jailed a few days ago after being found guilty of using fraudulent identity cards, international passports and false utility bills to open numerous online accounts which resulted in him making almost $80,000 from online gambling. Cyprus Police Raid Internet Gambling Premises

It has been reported that the local police in Cyprus raided two premises that they suspected of offering online gambling one night last week. Seven computer systems were confiscated by the police in their first raid and a further eight computer systems were seized by them during a second raid.
