Mazooma Selected as Bigpoint’s US Payment Partner

Mazooma, a leading Canadian internet payment processor has signed an agreement this week with Bigpoint, the worldwide provider of online games in terms of which Mazooma will enable Bigpoint’s US players to utilize Mazooma’s instant online bank transfer service in order to purchase virtual credits.

It is hoped that this partnership will result in a strong U.S business for Mazooma if and when online gambling is legalized in the United States.

Linus Menden, speaking on behalf of Bigpoint, said that there is widespread use of online bank transfers in Europe, where they have their headquarters, and they are thrilled with the opportunity to sign the agreement with Mazooma which now enables them to offer a similar option in the U.S. market. Menden added that as the only vendor in the U.S. offering real-time bank transfers, Mazooma will in future give them an opportunity to continue delivering the best online experience to their community.

A report issued by Ernst & Young revealed that traditional credit card networks charged very high processing costs on small ticket transactions and that with Mazooma’s payment option fees being less than half those of credit cards payment processing costs and chargebacks would be significantly decreased.

According to the president of Mazooma, Wilson Lee, their online bank transfer solution was designed especially to fill a void in the U.S. market for companies such as Bigpoint and that their payment network supports 15 of the leading U.S. banks.

Bigpoint users will be able to access Mazooma’s payment platform through their tablets, smartphones and laptops.
