Online Gambling Execs among Richest Britons

The Sunday Times releases a Rich List every year that features the 1,000 richest men and women in the United Kingdom.

This year, several of the richest people featured by the Sunday Times include many who have made their fortune in the profitable online gambling industry.

The 2012 Sunday Times Rich List includes ten entries from the online gambling industry.

The father and daughter duo, Peter and Denise Coates, who are the founders of the Bet 365 gambling entity, are the only online gambling executives to feature on the richest Britons list to make the top 100. The Done brothers who founded the leading bookmaker, Betfred, were found to be the second highest ranking online gambling executives overall and appeared one hundred and twelfth on the list. The brothers, Peter and Fred Done, are said to be worth GBP 700 million after their riches increased by GBP 40 in the past year.

Also included in the online gambling executives richest Britons on the list include Ruth Parasol and Russ DeLeon who are co-founders of Party Gaming and shared the 112th spot on the list with the Done brothers with their share in Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment.
