Microgaming’s Online Poker Network Rebranded

Microgaming, one of the leading developers of online gaming software and top network provider, has announced that it has re-branded its online poker network and also launched a supporting new website.

The poker network that was formerly known as the Microgaming Poker Network has now been branded MPN. The Network has also undergone a vast transformation during the past two years with its architecture, design and game offering all being changed.

The Microgaming Poker Network’s rebrand to MPN comes after the completion of Microgaming’s project that started in January, 2010 and included –

  • A new poker lobby that was designed for beginners as well as for advanced players and was rolled out to operators over Q4 2012 and Q1 2013.
  • The re-architecture of the poker platform, live January 2010.
  • A new Flash client, rolled out with the new Poker Lobby.
  • An HTMLS client
  • The Blaze Poker fast-fold product
  • Anonymous Tables
  • Joint promotions undertaken with key operators, live December 2012
  • True Value – an innovative rake allocation model that is pending being patented and does not impact on players but rewards acquisition and reactivation

The Network Management Board, which is the industry’s first operator/network board was formed to shape the development roadmap and strategies for the whole MPN, and which is now a year old.

According to a spokesman for the company, the re-brand of the poker network and the launch of the network website are the final steps in the process.

The changes made by the project have attracted many new operators on the network with iGame, Betsson, Pokerhuone, 24HPoker and BetVictor all having signed up. Several other operators have signed with Microgaming and are planning to launch over the next few weeks.
