After a short break to have software updated, the Microgaming Bad Beat Jackpot has returned to the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN). From March 19th, players will be able to celebrate being losers at Microgaming poker site licensees. The jackpot went offline on March 6th, allowing the software provider to bring exciting new updates to the platform. At the time that the Bad Beat Jackpot went offline, the prize pool was frozen at €921,000, and players will now be clamoring to get their hands on one of the biggest jackpots available in online poker history.
Some of the changes that players can expect to see include the chance to opt in to the Bad Beat jackpot at the table at just €0.02 a pop, with those who don’t opt in automatically not participating in the prize pool if the jackpot hits on their table.
The Bad Beat Jackpot will be hit if the players lose any four of a kind as long as the winner and loser of the hand use both hole cards. The ‘loser’ will win 40% of the Microgaming Bad Beat Jackpot, while the winner will win 20%. Those players who opted in will earn their share of the 10% set aside for table players, while the last 20% will be used to seed the next jackpot when another lucky player wins the jackpot.
