UK Gambling Reform Results in 32Red Acquiring Go Wild Players

32Red, the popular online casino powered by software from Microgaming, has entered into an agreement that will see it acquire the UK customer data base of Go Wild Online Casino from its Malta licensed parent company Go Wild Malta Ltd.

In terms of the acquisition, the sum of which remains undisclosed, customers at Go Wild Online Casino will migrate to the 32Red platform on or before Monday, 15th September, 2014.

Both 32Red Casino and Go Wild Casino offer a similar range of content which is supplied by Microgaming, one of the oldest and best known suppliers of online software in the industry, with both casinos also powered by the Isle of Man licensed supplier’s gaming platform.

According to Matt Booth, 32Red’s Commercial Director, the acquisition fits well with 32Red’s growth strategy for the market in the UK. Booth added that the migration of players from Go Wild Casino to 32Red Casino is a low risk and seamless transfer as both businesses utilize the Microgaming platform and games content.

Booth also said that players will continue to use the same login and passwords in order to access their accounts and that they will be active in showcasing the 32Red Casino experience to these newly acquired players.

Go Wild is an online casino that has been licensed in Malta since 2009. The casino offers players its products in English and allows them to gamble in a huge variety of European languages.

The sale of Go Wild Casino’s UK customer database comes ahead of the introduction of the 15% point of consumption tax which is due to take place this October. It is expected that this move will see several smaller operators being forced out of the market by higher regulatory and tax costs.
