Paddy Power Appoints New Director

The Board of Paddy Power Plc, the popular Irish online and land gambling group, has announced the appointment of Ulric Jerome as a new non-executive Director of the Company. Paddy Power has also appointed Ulric as a member of the Audit Committee.

Ulric was born in Paris and completed a degree in economics in Montreal after first studying in France. Ulrich was also a Founding Partner and Executive Director of Pixmania, the pan-European online retailer of digital photographic and consumer electronic goods. He was also active in the growth of Pixmania from a start-up to a business with revenues of over 7800 million operating in twenty six countries across Europe through bespoke transactional websites.

Ulrich is also a member of the Board of Directors of eCommerce Europe, which is an association that represents companies that are selling products and services online to consumers in Europe.

Chairman of Paddy Power plc, Nigel Northridge, commented on Ulrich’s appointment and said that his pioneering and entrepreneurial approach together with his broad understanding of consumer technology will greatly benefit the company as they endeavor to increase their competitive advantage in the online sector. Northridge added that he is thrilled that they have secured Ulric’s services as a non-executive Director and he warmly welcomes him to the Board of Paddy Power plc.
