Aspire Global (ASG) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Carl Klingberg and Fredrik Burvall to its Board of Directors. The board has also selected Carl Klingberg to serve as Chairman of the board.
Carl Klingberg previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Ongame / bwin Games AB, during which time it was one of the largest online poker providers in the world. He is also serving as chairman of Mackmyra Whiskey. Klingberg obtained a degree from the Stockholm School of Economics focusing on marketing and computing.
Following a number of extremely successful years, Fredrik Burvall removed himself as Chief Executive Officer of Cherry in January of this year and is currently active in several boards. Burvall holds an MBA in Economics from Stockholm University.
Carl Klingberg commented on his appointment by saying that Aspire Global is an exciting company facing accelerated development in a rapidly growing market. He added that he feels honored to take on this assignment as he has great respect for Aspire’s management and what is has accomplished.
Tsachi Maimon, Chief Executive Officer of Aspire Global, welcomed the new directors by saying that these appointments provide additional experience and expertise to the organization, complementing a strong group of existing directors and the management team.
Maimon went on to say that the knowledge and networks that their new directors provide will support new strategic initiatives and strengthen the organization’s connections with the Online Gaming sector. He added that the fact that both new Directors are Swedes is no coincidence as there is a cluster of gaming skills in Stockholm as well as a number of partners and subcontractors to the gaming industry.
